Thorn taking a Group Third to finish his Canadian Championship!!!
SHOW
Hi John, Just wanted to let you know how Thorn did this weekend up in Sudbury. At just over 7 months this little man is really making a mark in the show ring. The Sudbury shows draw some top dogs from all over the country. The show also boasts an Internationally known panel of judges. It was consistent that all 4 judges gave him the breed and 2 judges awarded him Best Puppy In Group! This accomplishment was a repeat of the wins his mother Ch. Onpoint's Full of Gust O FDJ did just two years ago as a puppy. The group had as many as 67 dogs in it with a nice assortment of puppies for Thorn to compete against. He never let down and often went from competing in Breed, Adult Group and Puppy group all with in a matter of minutes. He received many compliments from an assortment of professional handlers as to his demeanor in the ring and his ability to cover ground effortlessly. David Swartwood, Professional Dog Handler

Thorn in the field
An update July 2008: Thorn is well and is enjoying retired life with us and has been a joy to have in our home. He still runs like the wind and doesn't really know where he's going or when to stop.
Country life is without a doubt the best place for Thorn, thank goodness we have
acres for him to run on ...............
We will be sending in pictures for the scrapbook soon,

Mr. Dressup!
...hey, it's cold outside!

Country life is without a doubt the best place for Thorn, thank goodness we have acres for him to run on ............... Summer 2008
We live 5 minutes away from a provincial park that we walk Thorn in several times a week and he still flushes out the odd wild game from the brush every now and again. Great companion on long hikes. He hates cross country skiing with me, even with a winter fleece shell I had specially made for him he still hates the cold and would rather sleep on the lazy boy all day in the winter months....We are so thankful to have Thorn in our lives...this guy knows how to retire in class.............
