Sugar is absolutely crazy about her birds and the water. Ruffed Grouse is her specialty.
Sugar completed her FD title before
her second birthday with an average score of 88/100.
Several of Sugar's children are already working on their FDjr titles
and are
showing in Canada and have AKC field trial points.

Sugar is very well. Her health is good and she has kept her figure better than I have. She is getting pretty white around the muzzle and eyes but shows very little on her body.
She rules the roost in many ways and is a stickler for schedule. (I say Pavlov's pals had nothing on this dog.) She is a character and everyone who meets her adores her. She is extremely affectionate and a great companion.
As you can see, she is taking her retirement in stride and manages to sneak in a nap from time to time - especially when we are out and the bed is not otherwise being used. On this particular occasion she didn't wake up when we came home and was caught. She is NOT allowed on the bed and she knows it.
She still hasn't learned to tell the difference between the sound of a doorbell or knock on TV from those generated by real callers. However, she is increasingly possessive of us and real callers are treated to quite the vocal demonstration. It took her about 6 months to decide that we were worth the effort.
