Onpoint Vizslas - Bird Doggin It

Onpoint is a working "bird dog" kennel as well as a bed and breakfast. By bird dog, we are referring to all of the pointing breeds - pointers, setter, GSP, Vizslas to name but just a few. By "working" we are referring to dogs that go out and actually hunt. This is something that most dogs lovers can really appreciate a dog doing what it was bred for is nothing less than an absolutely breathtaking experience. While our love is for the Vizsla, at ONPOINT you will see many different breeds at different levels of training. Guests are invited to bring their own bird dogs up and have a hunt or arrange a private training session. For those without a dog and would still like to learn about what it is all about, you are welcome to come out and be guided with our dogs.

For those guests that are non-hunters, your stay with us will introduce you to one of the older sports; upland bird hunting. Most guest find it absolutely fascinating to watch a dog do what it has been bred for. Although participating in "kennel" life is not necessary, guests are welcome to participate and learn about what all goes into breeding, training, raising Champion bird dogs. There is usually a puppy around that would love a cuddle or an older dog that would just love a leisurely walk on our 150 acres.
